This congregation began as a mission outreach of Rev. Felix Janssen, pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran in Grants Pass, Oregon, a Missouri Synod congregation. He began conducting worship in the early 1960s at St. Matthias Episcopal Church. In May of 1976 Rev. Nicholas Doversberger, a graduate of Christ Seminary-Seminex, became pastor of the congregation.
